About NEDES Solar
NEDES is an in-house electrical and solar installation company serving homeowners and businesses across Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Georgia, Texas, and Washington, D.C.
Our Story
NEDES started the way most honest contracting companies do: with a truck, a toolbox, and a waiting list longer than the crew could keep up with. What began as a small electrical outfit wiring lightning protection and grounding systems across the Mid-Atlantic grew, panel by panel, into a full-service solar installer after customers kept asking the same question: since you’re already up on the roof, can you handle the solar too?
Today, NEDES operates regional offices in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania; Arlington, Virginia; and Dallas, Texas, with licensed crews installing residential and commercial solar, battery storage, and EV charging equipment across Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C. The trucks changed, and the service area grew, but the habit of showing up when we say we will never did.

Our Mission
Our mission is simple to state and harder to execute: make reliable, code-compliant solar energy accessible to every homeowner and business across the regions we serve, not just the ones willing to gamble on an unproven installer.
We believe a solar estimate should read like an engineering document, itemized down to the permit fee, with production numbers an installer can be held to twenty-five years from now.
Our vision is a service footprint that eventually covers the full Mid-Atlantic and Southeast without diluting the standard that got us here: a crew that answers the phone, arrives on the date promised, and treats a customer’s roof the way it would treat its own.
Growth, for NEDES, is a byproduct of discipline, never a substitute for it.
What Guides Us
01
Every installer on your roof is a direct NEDES employee, never a subcontractor pulled from a labor pool, so there’s one point of accountability from site visit to final inspection.
02
We size EV circuits to NEC Article 625 and ground every array to NFPA 780, because a system that fails inspection is a system that isn’t actually installed yet.
03
Our lifetime warranty is backed by an AM Best A+-rated insurance carrier through Align Solar Protection, not a manufacturer’s paper promise.
04
Every estimate itemizes equipment, permitting, and financing terms before you sign anything, with projected production for the system’s full 25-year lifespan.
Certificates And Awards
Anyone can put the word “certified” in a headline. We’d rather you see what actually backs it. Every lead NEDES installer holds active, verifiable credentials before they’re cleared to work on a live electrical or solar system.

Service Area
Regional offices in Arlington, Pittsburgh, and Dallas keep drive times short and permitting knowledge current, because net metering rules, SREC markets, and inspection timelines differ from one utility territory to the next.

Three Reasons
Referral Program
When an existing NEDES customer refers a neighbor or family member, that referral earns $1,000 off the completed installation. Double the $500 credit most Mid-Atlantic installers offer.
Warranty
Align Solar Protection coverage is backed by an AM Best A+-rated carrier and includes panels, inverters, racking, and roof-penetration resealing with no deductible, for as long as you own the home.
Tesla Certified
As a certified Tesla installer, we configure every Powerwall for time-of-use optimization and whole-home outage backup, sized specifically to your essential circuits.
FAQs
How long has NEDES been installing solar systems?
NEDES crews carry more than two decades of combined electrical and solar field experience, formally operating under the NEDES name since 2019, with regional offices added in Pennsylvania, Virginia, and Texas as demand grew across the Mid-Atlantic.
Is NEDES licensed and insured in the states it serves?
Yes. NEDES carries active contractor licensing and general liability coverage in every state it operates in, and every lead installer holds current NABCEP certification before working on a live system.
Does NEDES subcontract its installation work?
No. Every technician who designs, wires, permits, or mounts a NEDES system is a direct employee rather than a subcontracted crew, so the person who quotes your project is accountable for installing it.
What states and cities does NEDES serve?
NEDES installs residential and commercial solar, battery, and EV charging systems across Virginia, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Delaware, Georgia, Texas, North Carolina, and Washington, D.C., from regional offices in Arlington, Pittsburgh, and Dallas.
What makes NEDES different from other Mid-Atlantic installers?
In-house installation crews, NABCEP-certified electricians, an insurance-backed lifetime warranty through Align Solar Protection, and a $1,000 referral credit are the four differences customers reference most often when comparing installers.
LET’S TALK
Our People
NEDES is run by electricians and engineers first, salespeople second. Here’s who’s behind the estimate you’ll receive and the crew who’ll show up to build it.
